  • How can I backup a Git repository?

In the upcoming weeks, I'm migrating from SVN to Git. But when I was using SVN, I was able to copy my repo folder when I needed it back up. But Git doesn't have that so what do I do? One thought of mine was to make a clone on a separate drive and pulling it from my project. Does that make sense?

At this point, we've been using Visual SVN and we're currently backing up the entire repositories directory too. Basically, it's backing up all of the data for each specific repository inside the SVN engine. Would we be able to restore these files in case of a disaster? Thanks!
