Does anyone know of a good place to find people with C#.net experience besides the big job boards? We have several positions in the Financial/Trading industry in Chicago but we are having a hard time finding enough people with this skill set. STRPDM command – program development manager

I’m not familiar with using the strpdm command on my as400. I need to get a few data files from our financial application to a third party vendor for outsourcing billing statements. according our app vendor i can use the strpdm command to get the files I need. that is all the information i have received from my app vendor. just wondering if anyone can help me get these files i need from my as400 to my pc so i can get them to our other vendor to get the billing statements created. I know how to get to the pdm main menu and find the files I need, not sure what to do with them at this point.

Data Conversion on IBM AS/400

Hi,
We’re converting some old master files in to new format files. These master files have around 58 million records each. We wrote COBOL programs to convert the format and write to the new files. In order to speed up the process we are splitting the each master file into 20 parts(i.e., 20 files and spreading the records in to fileslike 1 to 20000 to FILE1, 20001 to 40000 to FILE2, etc.) and running the same program to populate the records in the new format in the NEWFILE, in multiple jobs, after the necessary overrides. It is taking about 5 hours to complete all these jobs, even after using 85% of the CPU.
I would like to further speed up the process. Can someone help/guide me how I can improve the performance? What is the best approach for dealing with such conversions? We need to convert 4 such files. Any help is appreciated.
