If I remember correctly, Backup exec 11d has a path limit of 255. You should contact Symantec Support and see if there is a work around or you can reduce the file or folder name that is giving you a problem.
I would read more about the Windows File Protection system here. It makes sure a copy of your backup is available. Why do you want to exclude it?
Is this your netbook? Acer Aspire One. http://www.slashgear.com/acer-aspire-one-netbook-slashgear-review-2216910/ If so it seems you have 2 card readers one standard sd and the second one is SDHC compliant. Here read this snipet from the devices review: Whichever you choose, you’ll get an 8.9-inch 1024 x 600 LED-backlit display, integrated microphone, stereo speakers and webcam, [...]
The “Driver Guide” site has a driver for your device here you probably have to sign up for a membership, but there is a free membership available for occasional users. I’ve gotten several odd or obscure drivers from this site. While I have never had a virus problem originating from this site, always scan [...]
You probably need to upgrade your backup exec version to support Exchange 2007 SP1. I would get on the phone with Symantec and ask for their support on this immediately. _____________________________________________________________ From Symantec “The above error is reported if the version of the ESE.DLL on the Backup Exec server is different from the [...]
This is what I suspect happened, you took ownership but have not assigned access rights. These are two separate items. The default folder creation is that the creator of a folder has ownership and access to the created folder. Therefore, no other ID has access to the folder. Open Windows Explorer so you can see [...]

It sounds like you are using a windows machine, but it would be helpful to know what version of windows you are using. Are you using the built-in iSCSI initiator or something else? If you are using the built-in iSCSI initiator then it will be helpful to know which version so the solution is easier [...]
All you need to do buddy is inventory the tape in Backup Exec. It will find a Backup Exec media label on the tape, but it will know that this tape doesn’t belong to this Backup Exec installation. So it will move them to the “Imported media” media set. An inventory and then a catalog [...]
If you want the best performance and redundancy use RAID 10 which combines striping with mirroring, but it will reduce your capacity by a half. You can lose two drives using RAID 10 and still keep your data. RAID 5 is a very good option. It uses striping and parity which gives you good performance [...]
Your problam can occur if the drive that is being backed up contains corrupt files or folders. You might try running CHKDSK. If that doesn’t work, then try opening a Command Prompt window and entering these commands: C: CDWindowsSYSTEM32 Net STOP VSS regsvr32 ole32.dll regsvr32 vss_ps.dll Vssvc /Register regsvr32 /i swprv.dll regsvr32 /i eventcls.dll regsvr32 [...]
HI Spadasoe, For IPL using Tape System Save, Change the Panel to D M Then start the system it will start from tape. Hiya, When you move disk controller cards between systems, it is vital that the cache is cleared before you do so otherwise you can/will end up with damaged objects. The best way [...]
Amazon’s S3 will probably provide you with what you are looking for.
What is it you are trying to do?
The problem between your C: and D: drives is a little hard to understand, are these physically separate drives or just partitions of the same drive. For your ethernet card, try right-clicking on my computer and selecting manage once there find device manager in the left window pane Then look through the list to find [...]
That really depends on the organization and how critical it is for applications to remain up and running, and lastly, what type of circuit services are available between sites. If you can stand some downtime, then cold or warm sites work. If it is a more critical operation (hospital, manufacturing, etc.) then a hot site [...]
OK, first the guy at Best Buy is an idiot. (Feel free to tell him I said that.) If the motherboard has an IDE connector on it, then your job is easy. Set the IDE drive for Master, and plug it in. You don’t need to change anything on the SATA drive as they are [...]
To physically put it together? 20 minutes. To build the array? A few hours (Depending on the RAID level) Before you can use the array? If that controller can do a backround build you can start using the array while it is building.
You can get a USB hard drive enclosure from most electronics stores (Frys, BestBuy, etc). You place the hard drive in the enclosure and plug the enclosure into a USB port on the computer.
This is a SQL Server error message and has nothing to do with the RAID arrays. This error is because you backed up the database using a strip set technique where you specified more than one backup file in the origional backup database command, and you are trying to use only one of the backup [...]
