• Key-value storage in Java.

I’m trying to find a disk-based Java implementation of key-value storage.  I need it to be able to store, overwrite and retrieve from millions of stored objects by unique IDs, without memory caching.  I’ve been told that Berkeley DB JE could do this, but I’m unfamiliar with it. Any opinions?

Does anyone know if the posting limits for client-side storage are still correct? I've seen that for LocalStorage, the sizes are 5MB SQLite storage and another 5MB is expandable by a user's request. Also, are these storage schemes exclusive? I mean is this limit an aggregate of all client-side...

  • MySQL: What’s the downside of storing images in the database?

I'm looking at using MySQL for my database so I need some opinions on the disadvantages of storing images inside of it. Is it not as efficient as storing images on a server? Does it take longer for the images to download vs. disk storage? Thanks for all the input!
