Can I set up a shadow copy of an entire drive?
I just did this for my Windows 7 desktop. Open the system icon in the control panel. Click the “System Protection” link in the left side pane. Your system partition should already be protected. If you have a second partition click that and then click the “configure” button. Choose your settings and apply. ========================== Those [...]

RAID performance
It depends what you are doing. If you have a mostly read workload, then RAID 5 as you’ll have more spindles to read off of. If you have a mostly write workload, then RAID 1 as you don’t have any parity calculations to deal with. That said, if you put enough disks behind the RAID [...]

How to recover the deleted database using transaction log file?
Log file could not be used to backup the entire database of your computer server. Since it is just a log file, you can only see the logs of the activities done in your computer system like installing, editing, adding, deleting, etc.

hard drive
Hard disks is not really a part that could be operated. It is a hardware part of the computer system where the Operating System and other computer software applications are installed. Before operating any type of hard disk drive, it is still better to seek for the advice of a computer technician.

First, you have to determine if your hard disk drive failed to function by installing it to another compatible computer system. If you found that it has a problem, you have no option to recover the data inside that failed hard disk drive.

Question about RAID 1
If my memory serves me correctly, RAID-1 is just straightforward mirroring. Unfortunately you can’t do much with a mirror, other than replace RAID-1 with a larger drives to resize RAID 1 partition. This is what I’d recommend, if your controller can handle it.
