SQL servers merge transactions

In vb.net windows application,i used sql server 2008 for database. For deployemnt and implementation process, we used currently the sql server is in the web.client have different locations and want to access application from any where. The problem is at some rural area the internet down time is high and user unable to do data entry job in the application.Then the requiremnt have changed to use local server for branches . after completing data entry work and they want to update to sql server in the web.during that process latest transactions changes from local server have to update in web server, mean time another branch local server will also update to server in web.and local servers have to get exchange data through web server.When user click update button, only todays transactions from local server should update to web server and from web server transactions or other another branch latest data that had already updated have to transfer from web server to local server. What are the possible ways to do this ? could you guide me for this situation?

Is it safe to delete SQL Server Transaction Log?

In one point, I create two Transaction Log for a database, and now I want to delete the second Transaction Log in order to free more space. I just want to get ride of the second file. Is it safe to delete it? SQL Server allow me to do it from DATABASE PROPERTIES WINDOW, but I want to make sure that it is safe to drop it.

We have a SQL database with a full recovery model that backs up the database once a day, along with hourly backups for the transaction logs. However, we only have one transaction log backup file, and it is overwritten every time. Are transaction log backups cumulative, and if so, does that one file contain all transactions since the previous database backup? Also, what is the correct extension for a transaction log backup?

Time out in VB.net when SQL transaciton log backup schedule changed to hourly

We have changed our back up schedule on transaction log from daily to every hour recently. Now my VB.net 2005 program start getting fail to read the table error (maybe caused by Timeout) during the time backup is executing.

Is there anyway we can prevent this?
