Why are you trying to detach the database? Can’t you just take a backup of the database? You can easily enough configure a job to run on the 1st of every month.

There will be no specific function in SQL for recognizing display files. As you mentioned, we can decide the variable names dynamically. But, We cant be able to map these variables with DSPF Record format. Pradeep.

Running Crystal Reports with a SQL Server Login instead of a Network Login
Sounds like your database server isn’t configured for both NT and SQL authentication. or you can use sa user that have access over target database.

Log file could not be used to backup the entire database of your computer server. Since it is just a log file, you can only see the logs of the activities done in your computer system like installing, editing, adding, deleting, etc.

upgrade SQL Server 2008 32-bit to 64-bit
All you need to do is detach the database from the old server and attach it to the new server. You can also backup the database and restore it to the new server. As far as the database is considered it doesn’t care if it’s on a 32bit or 64bit system.

If you know that there is a match why not just return the value that you are looking for? If you wanted to pull the value from the column you would need to use the SUBSTRING and PATINDEX (in SQL Server at least) to get that value from the column.
