Cannot forward events from SQL Server 2005
I’m trying to forward events from SQL Server 2005 SP3 to a different server, but the only server I can select is the local server.  What must I do to see other servers in the Event Forwarding Server drop-down box?

SQL Server backup would not terminate
I tried to stop the backup which was already fired through job schedule,but it did’t stop. Then I stop the sql serveragent but it also not abled to stop the backup. The backup size was 100GB. Could you please give me the reason and solution of it.

Job permissions in SQL Server Agent
Hi, I’m using SQL Server Agent which is running on SQL Server 2000. My question is, is there a way to give permissions to users to simply view the jobs and not change/execute them? I’ve read that this is possible in SQL 2005 with SQLAgentReaderRole, but what about 2000? Thanks in advance.

What causes an agent not to start? It appears in the services view as starting (instead of Started). WWhen it does start it, you try to do a job and it states that it cannot do so because the agent has not started.
