Can’t see step info in an existing job SQL Server

I recently got a new computer and I had to installed sql server on it. When using my old computer I was able to log into my SQL Server and see/modify jobs, but now, even though I can see the list of jobs under my sql server agent, I cannot see any information related to the steps of that job. What I am doing is right clicking on the job listed and then clicking properties, then I click on steps. I have to say that when I right click on the job, and then click properties, what I get is a “New Job” window. I know I am missing some set ups I have to do but I have no idea of what it could be at the moment. Could anybody help me with this one? Thanks, Al

My self Ashish Amodia from India, I want to send Automatic mail with an attachment for that I have created job and from job that I want to open my web page automatically – I am using SQL server 2000.

If u know how to open web page from job than please let me know

SQL Server backup would not terminate

I tried to stop the backup which was already fired through job schedule,but it did’t stop.
Then I stop the sql serveragent but it also not abled to stop the backup.
The backup size was 100GB.
Could you please give me the reason and solution of it.

SQL Server Agent job Failures

I would like to know if there is any way to get Agent jobs such as backups, Update Stats jobs to write to the error log on failure. I have written a monitoring program that looks in the errorlog and alerts on pertinent errors. I would like to be able to use this solution for agent job failures without having to set up database mail and operators in order to get my alerts. I am working with SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 and will have some 2008 instances soon.
