Data and Variables in SPSS from Excel spreadsheet
have an Excel spreadsheet with responses to questions from a 49 question survey. At the top of the spreadsheet I listed each variable that the questions address. When I transfer this to the data page in SPSS, it lists the variables on the variable page with sequential letters after each variable – e.g. – invA, [...]
