Unallocated Disk Space

Today I loaded Win XP. Some how I lost 38gb of memory. Looking in computer management I have 38gb unallocated space and only 2gb on C: drive. How do I get my memory space back? I am working in windows XP. This is on a Dell Optiplex GX270 comp. Thanks for anyhelp.
