Moving oracle database

HI,We have planned to move our oracle 10g production database from Solaris to Aix bix. So experts, please suggest any best practices that you follow or any scripts that should be run before moving it or any documentation or case study that will help us to do the work more efficiently. I am in need to obtaining a list of all software product installed on my server.the server is running solaris 10.I have used the PKGINFO. However this utility does not give a completed list of all software product installed.Can you help?
