Downgrade SCCM Client to SMS Client

Hi,

I’ll be transferring some SCCM clients to a child site using SMS 2003, however since they have the history of having SCCM clients, eventhough I already uninstalled it, it still doesn’t accept the installation for SMS 2003 client, since its a lower version.

Is there a way that I can do to fix this? I need to install the sms clients. Hope you can help me.

I’m running SMS 2003 SP3, now I reinstall my PC as Windows 7, after setup SMS
administrator console on Windows 7, I found the remote tool can not connect
to XP OS SMS client, for Vista/Windows7 SMS client, there are even no
selection of remote tool from the console.
Remote assistance is ok to connect to client, but I need control the client
before it login to system, seems only the remote tool can support this, so I
want to know any way can enable it on Windows 7.

I have been using BDD to capture and deploy OS images but am integrating it with SMS.How do i capture images using SMS,such that i can store that image on my external drive and deploy it on another PC which is not on the network.

Hello,

I have struggled with SMS 3 of 5 years the compay has had SMS, we someshat have a working product now, we are to the point of wanting to remote control our vpn clients.

The clients report in collections, but when trying to remote control, the client acts as if the remote agent is not installed. Some clientes are joined to the domain and some are in workgroups, the results are the same.

Do anyone have any setup or troubleshooting tips to address this issue.

I’ve deployed SMS 2k3 with SP3 and SQL 2000 sp3a. My issue is with Advertisements that I want to run at logon. I have some Advertisements working fine at logon. When I create a new one, I need to have two entries in the mandatory field. one for logon and the other at an interval..(Strange) if I log off and back on again as test. if the new Adver. fails so do all the other “working” ones I had before.. this company wants to replace their Normal logon Scripts with SMS logon packages, this doesn’t seem very stable to me.. What am I missing?
