IT Answers » Smart Hosts http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers Tue, 21 May 2013 16:56:46 +0000 en-US hourly 1 outlook mail routing – smarthost problem http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/outlook-mail-routing-smarthost-problem/ http://itknowledgeexchange.techtarget.com/itanswers/outlook-mail-routing-smarthost-problem/#comments Thu, 23 Jun 2011 17:55:04 +0000 uwantfries I am having trouble getting mail from an organization that used a smarthost for our group.  I switched from exchange to web based and all other mail seems to be going through our hosts servers/dns but this org. keeps hitting the old exchange server.  There IT said they removed the smarthost but problem still exists (btw- MY boss is on my a$$ because of this of course and they seems clueless to solve).  Is it possible that their contacts (us) are cached??  will deleting all contacts pointing to us and re-entering them solve this?? 

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Will that be something that can be configured on the hosted exchange environment?
