Would it be possible for the consultant who set up our Sharepoint server this year to have left some sort of a back door? We changed the admin password and removed some other strange accounts. Can he still get in?

When a person “Checks In” a document and it needs to be approved. Is there a way to make it that the person who checked in the doc. can’t approve it and it grays them out to force someone else in the group to approve/reject the document?

How can I lock a SharePoint column?
We embark on a compensation adjustment which involves many sensitive info like salary. I, therefor, want luck this column/cell to other people except their own! So how can I do that? I tried many ways including event handler, but I failed perhaps I am not good at coding! Any help is deeply appreciated!

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to assign permissions to unique columns for specific users? e.g: - User 1 can read columns a, b and s - User 2 can not see column c,v Perhaps through different views? Any helps?
