Finishing up on an old server
Is there any sheet/form to be filled, or are there any guidelines to be followed before finishing up/get rid off – an old/used server? I mean before destroying that equipment or before releasing it or send it to the garbage?

If I wanted to measure the downtine of my servers would it make a difference if the downtime is planned or unplanned. I have heard somesay downtime is downtime.
