Computer 1 is XP desktop and can connect to RDP on several external servers. Computer 2 is XP laptop but cannot connect to any external servers. Both computers are on the same network. When laptop became available my desktop was replaced. Since then I cannot connect via RDP to external servers. I reconnected my old desktop and I CAN connect to external servers. Obvious solution would be throw out laptop. Does anyone have a better solution? Thanks for any help anyone can provide.

I have a pc that needs to connect to the server to retrieve some files everyday.
But lately the ID will always get disabled before I can even retrieve the file. I always do the following as below.
1. Run(enter)
2. \\Server IP (enter)
Once I do step number 2, the ID will automatically be disabled on the server.
The Server is not an AD server.
The server policy is that has been set is
(a) Account Lock out Duration = 15min
(b) Account lockout threshold = 3 times
(c) Reset account after lockout = 15mins
When the ID is disabled, I will just enable back the ID without changing the password. There are 2 users that are facing the same issue.
Have you all seen this problem before? If yes, how do you all fix it?
Thanks

Hi

I’ve been battling with this for a client for a couple of weeks now. The configuration is slightly unusual as the ES is sitting behind a NATed firewall but I’m using the virtual server and open ports features on the router to pass through the necessary traffic.

As a test, I’ve attempted to see whether OWA will work on the iPhone, which it does – but only for a test user accouunt. If I try to access OWA with the actual user’s credentials I keep getting a HTTP 404 (file not found) error.

If I configure the iPhone to synch using Exchange, it just replies back with “server connection failed”, whether I try the test user’s credentials or the actual users. It does display the certficate message which I click Accept, then the 404 error appears.

any pointers on this would be much appreciated!
