Unable to load Dynamic Link Library BASDB.DLL on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit

Windows 7 Professional – 64 bit

Application is 32 bit application.

Application uses Sybase 11 , and ODBC sources

The DLL Basdb.Dll is located in the SYSWOW64 folder but is not loaded when called.

Example of call to DLL.

Alter Procedure “DBA”.”spbossaccountchg” ( in iaction integer, in iid integer )

external name ‘Bossaccountchg@Basdb.Dll’

*****Have added but still fails **

external name ‘Bossaccountchg@Basdb.Dll’ Language C_ESQL32

The application works other than when certain program features call upon the need for the Basdb.dll file. Then it errors.

What may stop this from being successful?

Currently we have 8 applications/systems that require user profiles to be set individual each time there is a new member of staff/ change to existing staff. Is there a piece of software that enables a single entry that then updates all other systems?

Hi there
Vista Home Premium – I’ve been trying to configure the local security option for Network Access – sharing and security model for local accounts, to ‘Classic – local users authenticate as themselves’.
This PC communicates with another where an account has been created ( user and password (windows authenticate)) and is needed to communicate with SQL.

If not manually in Windows environment; can it be configured in C#?

Access rights for Storage Team members

We are having to justify the access rights that our storage team members have to the Windows, VMWare, and Unix servers. Our storage team is also responsible for all backups, restores, and disaster recovery. Can any one provide a best practices or a already compiled list of access rights that they have identified a storage engineer needs to successfully execute their duties?

How to secure password in a multi user environment?

I have a dilemma and I’m not sure what is the best way to go about it.

I want my employees to have access to various websites, some do not have the option of setting multiple login with permissions so there’s only 1 login.

I want to use a password manager so it will automatically log in to those sites but all the password managers I have tried so far requires a master password to unlock to use it. That defeats the purpose because then they can export or look into the database and get the password. I also do not want to install a password manager on all 15 of our computers.

I was looking to find a solution that I can manage in a central location (my desktop) and maybe load the login/pw on a USB that anyone can use to access these sites but they can not open the program on the USB to get to the Passwords. I even thought of using a biometric USB so only certain individuals can use it. They would be given the USB in the morning when they start their shift and hand it back at the end of their shift.

If anyone have any ideas on how this can be implemented please share.
