I have a Linksys WRT54G broadband router supporting IPSec passthrough. Should I upgrade?

[html xmlns="">
Hello all.
I have an unusual problem. Here is the situation.
We have a head office domain with file servers based here in New Zealand. We also have a remote server at our Melbourne, Australia office. We use file sync software to mirror different folders to the remote server so that the Melbourne office has local file access rather than coming across the wire to New Zealand.
One of the users has a laptop he uses from home. He connects back to our head office firewall via IPSEC VPN.
The problem is this: He can access mapped network drives if they map to the source server in New Zealand but mappings that point to his local "mirror" server in Melbourne do not work. I have tried it on different laptops, through different internet connections.
The remote server is a DNS/WINS server plus we have DNS/WINS servers here in New Zealand.
What could be causing him to not be able to connect to his local derver mappings?
Thanks
Tracy

In an effort to set up some sort of security on the IP traffic between the systems using iSCSI I attempted to implement IPsec. In doing so the Windows iSCSI initiators were no longer able to communicate with the targets. So after removing the settings in the local security policy most of the systems were back up and could see the vhds with the exception of one. This system can actually see the targets but whenever I try and create a session it gives me the error “The Target name is not found or is marked hidden from login”. An interesting note is that when I try and discover the host system through a specific portal it won’t show the targets, only when I set my iSNS server (which is the same machine). My suspicion is that the configuration settings from when I tried to set it up to use IPSec is still in there and flushing that out would do the trick. I would even be fine with reinstalling the initiator software if I could figure out how to uninstall it. (This system is using Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise). Jeez I’m just getting scatterbrained now, any ideas?
