Email Delivery Errors

Hello All,

Someone is having problems sending emails to us which did not exist before. Our email server (Unix based) did not list his domain as spam according to our email technician. Also for troubleshooting purposes i’ve asked him to send to my hotmail account which resulted in the same manor not receiving. After several attempts i received an email both on my hotmail and company accounts, emails sent before were test emails, no attachements. We have no limitation on attachments sent or received. Each company belongs to a different ISP. What could be the problem? What approach should i take to troubleshoot this problem. The following are the error messages he received

Good Day All,

I would like an advice on the best hardware solution for a mail appliance. I have viewed several products Fortinet, Netmax, Sonicwall, MXtreme Mail Firewall ? etc.
Also, it would be preferred if the license is based on the box itself not the number of users, can handle multi-domain, built-in anti spam and the ability to change the port.

Exchange Server Messaging Solution

My requirement I need to log (Including mail content) the mail communications between certain group of users in the same Exchange server.
Logging should be done in the central repository like SQL Server so that my application can be used to view the mail communications between the groups.
Pls let me know is there a possiblity of having any plug in to the
exchange server which does this business logic by montoring the mail box of the Users or SMTP server etc.
Also I want to know is there any other alternative or products already available.

Notes to notes spoof

I just had a question from one of our senior managers asking about a potential vulnerability. He heard that there was a way to spoof from a notes email client to another within the same domain.

I researched but could not find anything proving or disproving this information. Any help would be appreciated.

terminal server and gpo

i have a server 2003 that configure as a terminal server, and i want implement a strict acess to this server from client (xp pro) to that server, i create ou that called “for terminal users” and create for that ou a gpo, now,, i want to know how should i change the gpo to achive the next goals: 1. all user that connect to the terminal will get a same desktop and same icons. but i want that when the same user’s connect to them xp they get a cusomize icon and desktop as they wish
2 how i redirect my document’s of users to server?
3 can i apply a gpo to some user in the “for terminal users” ou and in the same time apply other gpo to that users’ ? there is no conflict?
4 how i configure outlook for users that when they connect to the terminal the outlook will open up like they in the desktop ?

route mail with fax service in sbs 2003

i have a sbs 2003 on my network and i configure him to get all the fax of my company, the only problem is that when i configure him to route all the incoming fax to some mail it does not seem to work, i check the event log and i get error 32083 and with this massage: Unable to route fax C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataMicrosoftWindows NTMSFaxQueue1C66946CB9EB1.tif to the requested e-mail address. The following error occurred: 0×80040213
since the problem appear i try to install all service packs for exchange and for the server (sp2 exchange and sp1 for server) but its not work
is anybody know what to do about this? thanks

look fax in OWA

i have a sbs 2003 and it connect to modem to get fax, and iv’e configured him to get users to outlook web access but i want to know if there is a way to see fax on the server from the owa? is there a way that user log on to owa and then can see new fax that arrived? (suppose that he had the required permission) or should i need to create extra html page for it? or customize owa for that? thanks a lot dror.

Email Notification If Scheduled Task In Windows Fails

Hi All,
I have scheduled an archiving process using the Scheduled Tasks in windows (2000 server).
The task is running fine as per the schedule. But everyday I have to manually check whether it went fine or not.
Is there any way by which I can send an email notification if the scheduled task fails due to any reason?
Is there any exe file in windows which can be used?

FTP Sites

Hi All,

I am a IT Security Personnel and i look in to the Information security of my company.To protect the information of our company we have blocked all email sites from our Proxy server ..so that staff cant send our company data outside our office using public email sites like hotmail ,yahoo , rediff etc..We have been successful in doing the same……NOW we need to also block the sites which provides FTP access through internet…It will be of great help if anybody provides me with the list of FTP sites available on the internet so that we can also block the same.
