Lotus Notes email security issue regarding forwarding email to gmail account

Is it possible for to set your lotus notes account to send emails to an outside mailbox automatically (gmail etc)? I recevied a strange message yesterday something to the effect “your forwarded message to your gmail account failed”. I don’t have a gmail account and am concerned I might have a security issue. thanks.

High School Computer Lab Network set up to prevent cheating

I am trying to set up the network in my classroom to prevent students from stealing, renaming, deleting, etc. other students’ work on the shared folder. Before the teacher’s computer died, I was able to set up the permissions as write only, but the smart student could still rename someone’s file if it stayed in the shared folder. Now that my computer is back, I no longer have the option to set permissions. I have asked for a digital drop box, but the only program that we could use for that is moodle– free, a pain in the neck, and no instructions. Any suggestions? I know that you can protect documents in Word so that no one else can make changes, but we use many other programs other than Word. Please help!!

We have a Windows 2000 server with IIS. When we give it a public IP address the system gets hacked almost instantly. Secure passwords full on firewall. How can we prevent this? Is this an exploit I can patch?

What are the appropriate thresholds for alerts on Windows 2008 R2 servers. I want to monitor disk space, memory, network throughput and processor usage. I want to be aware of any and all bottlenecks before they become a problem.

Password Self-service solution for AS400

We have AS400, Active Directory, a bit SAP to. This means that some of our users have more than 5 passwords to remember – which they of course can’t. As a result we have many calls to the HelpDesk for support. We have looked at Single Sign On solutions, but we find them rather complicated. We would like to find a more simple solution, where the users only have to use one password, and we want to be able to install and administrate in a rather simple fashion. We have been looking at some solutions – but usually they do not cover AS400. Any expirience anyone? Answers will be greatly appriciated /Frank

i am trying to make a wiki for my organization and am not sure where to start. What are some good packages to make your own wiki? On another note, i want to secure my wiki to where you have to authenticate yourself before you get onto the wiki. The information is sensitive and i only want certain people allowed to see the wiki. Anyone have any suggestions as to how to pull this off?
