Requesting career advice

Hello Experts,
I am a student who has completed his MS in Engineering Management and is a CAPM. I am interested in pursuing a career in SAP and would like your advice regarding which module and certification would best suit my education and provide an edge in the job market.

P.S: I have worked as an Oracle DBA for 2 years but want to do something more relevant to my interests and education.

Dear Sir,

This question may have been asked to you million time sorry for that. Which career path in SAP I should choose to enter into the SAP domain. I have 10 yr of IT experience.. 6 to 7 year of coding and design in microsoft technologies like vb, asp, .net etc. Good knowledge of DB oracle and SQL server in finance and telecome domain. From last 3 to 4 year I am in project management experience in telecom domain. I want to change and learn SAP. Which is the good module I should learn which will best suit my previous experience as well as increase my market value? Should I go in Functional or technical area?

Breaking into SAP – Programming or BI

Hi,
I have 5 years of programming experience in Mainframe. Now I want to switch and move into SAP. I did some research and found out that SAP (ABAP or Java) programming has lot of opportunities but has equal amount of consultants available. Then I did some research on BI. As far as I could understand, BI deals with reporting and analytics.
So, I would like to know which one should I go for. Also, would like to get some tips on how to make into a SAP career.
Any advice for me?

Hi, this is Miftah. I have done my MBA in HR & marketing. But working in a BPO from last 3 and 1/2 years in Business and Financial services. My work includes Investment banking process and Retirement services. I want to come out of BPO life and get a good job in any other field with good package. I want an advice, can you please give me some ideas about SAP, will it be usefull for me to get into any MNC with SAP certificate? what is the course I can enroll. Please advice.

What does SAP mean to a CFO entering the work force after being out of it for 10 years?

I was an executive for a few Fortune 500 companies from mid 80′s to 2001. Now I want back into corporate life after being a financial analyst that went rogue. Every position for which I want to apply states their minimum requirements for a candidate and undoubtedly one of those requirements is: “must understand or have worked with SAP”. I’m not sure I know to what they are referring. Does anyone out there know how one becomes proficient in SAP? Where do I start?
