We have had situations similar to this. Here is the process we used to resolve it: If you have a failed transport that leaves its status in an ?Import running? state: 1.) Within the STMS screen 2.) Click the ?Import Monitor? button (looks like an EKG monitor) 3.) Right click on the item with the [...]

LSMW Question – # EOF character due to Codepage ?(for a Legacy data Source File)
How are you transferring the file to the UNIX directory? When transfering tab delimited files, I usually use a binary transfer instead of ASCII. You should try it both ways and see which works. Also, LSMW has a few file settings you should check in the assign files step.

Geocoding Customer Address Information
Geocoding is generally done through software that plugs into SAP – IE an outside vendor. We do use geocoding – however, I would not recommend our vendor. Also some of the vendors that do address validation also do geocoding. If you have any address validation software through a vendor – you might want to look [...]

PLease advise, the module which will be in demand in future
FICO is very in demand. If you can start working as a user and gain more experience, then you can take a nother step, if you feel you can consult others for FICO problems. From your experience, other areas are MM, PM, PP that may fits you.

Hi, Sry for late reply. Ok from the top of my head: I think a event is triggered(sm64), but the triggered event is deleted(SM62) or its definition has gone corupt. Possibly due to faulty maintenance. I would advice to run through the event/triggering customization of your environment. Regards, Robbert

I would generically answer your question. To my knowledge AIX 5.3 supports 64 bits. It appears that somefiles from the installation kit are not acceptabed by the AIX box or somefiles on the AIX box itself could be in the prev version, not re-compiled etc.. Suggest you try it on a dev box both with [...]

Is our “technology” SAP compatible?
Meaning is probably your solution is able to exchange with SAP without additional ABAP development on SAP side. Usually, your solution has to be able to generate IDOC (Intermediate DOCument). To simplify, IDOCs are pre-defined interface files that SAP is able to proceed without additonal development. A good exemple will be an EDI message. If [...]

Yes, there is – in table T582A, configure the time constraint as ‘T’ (time constraint is based on subtype). You may use T591A as the table that defines the time constraint for the subtypes of an infotype. Example T591A for infotype 0006: Client Infty Sub Time constraint 010 0006 1 1 010 0006 2 2 [...]

How to populate a simple form from a workflow container?
My guess would be the binding in the WF isn’t right. When you put data into containers using functions, it doesn’t really get there unless the task binding reflects the same data movement.

BDC Conversion program
Not sure what release you’re, but since 4.6 notes no longer work in BDC so you have to use a BAPI. If you can’t find a BAPI for this transaction, there may be one in a future release, try OSS.

How to modify driver file via vbscript?
Unless there are other circumstances precluding this, wouldn’t it be best to simply read in the existing file and append your additions, then rewrite it? I may be missing something here, but that is the approach I would attempt first, as it is essentially a plain text file.

Joyce: THAT is a difficult question! The SAP field is booming right now, and ABAP programming is not nearly as dependent on new implementations.
