Career shift from Knowledge Management to SAP Consulting

Hi ,

I have 2 years of experience in Knowledge Management where i have a background of working on SharePoint, CMS, Javascripts, HTML and Jquery. I also have an academic background of C++ and C#. I want to shift my career into SAP Consulting (Techno functional). Can someone here help me to know if a certification in the same will help me in getting into the industry? Also how lucrative is the career option of a Techno functional consultant, in terms of future growth? I am interested in doing a course in ABAP SD.

i am a computer engineer just completed my masters of logistics and procurement. I am interested in SAP BI module but someone told me that a BI consultant needs to know ABAP programming is this true? And if i go ahead in SAP BI without ABAP what will happen? I am a freasher so please guide me…

Transition from QA / Testing to SAP Functional consultant role

I have a career question. I want to become a SAP Functional Consultant. Which Module would be right for me.

I have a BS in Agriculture, MS in Computer Science.

I have been working as a QA Consultant/ QA Lead in Software Testing Arena for 8 years. Also worked as a Techno Functional Consultant in SAP BW for 3 months 3 years ago. I have been working in SAP testing / SAP Automation using TAO in SD and MM module for 1 1/2 years.

Should I refresh my skills in BW and find a job in SAP BW or learn (MM, SD, FI, CRM) which is my interest and move to this new role.

I want to move on from a QA / Testing to a SAP Functional consultant as the Job that I am in not challenging enough and I am very much interested in the SAP arena.

What are the typical responsibilities in a SAP BI support project ?

What are the typical responsibilities of a SAP BI consultant in a SAP BI support project?
What areas need to be focused on while preparing for the project? I have heard that process chains maintainence play an important role in support projects. Can you give your take on that? What kind of issues do we generally face in a SAP BI support project?

I am interested in knowing what a SAP consultant is, does and required to know. I am not good at programming. I was wondering if it is a must to know ABAP to be a SAP consultant. If so, then at what is the level of ABAP expertise required?
