I am able to view the components to the BOM when searching for the equipment or functional location in the “Display Equipment” transaction, then clicking hierarchy. I need to be able to view it via the Functional Location transaction though (I thought clicking BOM explosion in IH01 would work but it doesn’t give me anything). Please help!

Dear all,
how can I renumber automatically the Item number within a BoM? E.g., I have added a new Item into a BoM, which should be between Item nr. 0010 and 0020. I will record the new Item with Item no. 0015. The list will look like below:

0010
0015
0020
0030
etc.

I would like now to renumber automatically the Items with a sequence of 10. The “new” list will look like below:
0010
0020
0030
0040
etc.

Is there a transaction/hint, wwhich will enable this functionality?
Many thanks in advance for your help1
Best Regards
Reinhold

The BOM that I have shows one component per row. Ex. Say I have a resistor and I use it in 4 different locations, R1, R2, R3 and R4. SAP lists that in 4 different rows as below

Qty Location
1 R1
1 R2
1 R3
1 R4

This way, I end up wasting a lot of paper. I have BOMs which have 70 locations for a single resistor. How to display the locations next to each other?
Qty Location
4 R1, R2, R3, R4

I asked our help team and they say SAP cannot do this, which I find hard to believe.
