I have a program written in RPGLE which calls numerous other programs. These programs all share similar files. In my main program, when trying to read a particular file, I get error CPF5032 even though I unlock the file right before I do the setll reade. As a result, I figured the lock must be coming from one of the called programs. However, I thought if I turned *INLR on before exiting the programs, all record locks would be released. Is this not true? Also, is there a way to tell which program actually has the record locked? As I said before, the program calls numerous other programs and it could be any one of them?

Controling 2 subfiles at once

Hi,
My RPG program displays a subfile listing various tasks in the upper half of a green screen and then if notes are found for any of the tasks, a second subfile is displayed in the bottom half of the screen.

Both subfiles are output only. I write the Fkey format, then write sfl1, then overlay sfl2. Once the loading is complete and the screen displays, the cursor remains on the first output field of sfl2.

The Fkey format is only for sfl1 and one of the functions is F10 to drop the sfl1 to see details about the tasks. This key works fine but in order to scroll sfl1, I need to move the cursor up to some portion of sfl1 first, then I can scroll down or up only once as the cursor jumps back to the first field of sfl2 as soon as I perform the scroll.

I would like to add a Fkey to switch between each sfl and keep the cursor on that sfl so it functions correctly. Is this possible and if so, how do I do it?

Decimal data error

For testing an RPG program, I changed the CL program which submits the RPG program to a “call”. The change was to include a new parameter (numeric) to the RPG program. After testing, the Call was changed back to SBMJOB, but when tested again, the RPG program bombed with ‘decimal data error’. What could the be the probable reason for it.
