Cisco 2811 Power Supply Jumper - PS Type

I have replaced a DC supply with an AC 100V but the new power supply doesn not havbe anywhere for the PS Type Jumper connection. What does the PS Type do and can I operate without that connected (as the new power supply has no connector) ? Thanks in Advance.
