group quota in redhat

while doing group quota in in rhel5&6 both

i edited in fstab file as

defalts,grpquota

quotacheck -cvug

quotachech -avug

quotacheck -avugm

finaly it checks quota

then i given the command as

edquota -g market

their i given file limits

soft=10 hard =15

as i login as user i can able to create more than 15 files also

what is the problem.

Hi, When I compile PHP 5.3.5, everytime I get configure: warning: bison versions supported for regeneration of the Zend/PHP parsers: 1.28 1.35 1.75 1.875 2.0 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.4.1 (found: none). configure: warning: You will need re2c 0.13.4 or later if you want to regenerate PHP parsers. Any help/suggestions will be a big help. Thanks

Best Integration options for Linux membership in Active Directory

We’re a heavy Microsoft shop and I’m standing up our first Linux servers and wish to intergrate them into Active Directory.

We’re using Red Hat and the Oracle Unbreakable Linux (Oracle sponsered RHEL) and I want to intergrate the systems into AD for ease of control and to ensure our existing IT policies can be enforced.

I’ve done some work with Ubuntu based servers and used LikewiseOpen to intergrate into AD with some success. But the limited lab work was very small scale compared to production roll-out I’m planning now.

I’m curious to know the best methods for RHEL and if Likewise is the best way to go? Also what are the pitfalls?

xterm: no available ptys

I’m trying to run an xterm on REHL release 5.4 and I get the message no available ptys. I’ve added the following line to the /etc/fstab: none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0

after which I did a mount -a cmd. That didn’t change anything. Any advice would be appreciated.

Please advise. RHEL 5 AP kernel 2.6.18, can see: devices – 82801G PCI Eth…- RTL8101E PCI Express Fast Ethernet. Try to make network – NO such a device in list, downloaded driver from RTL/Intel can’t plug in.
