group quota in redhat

while doing group quota in in rhel5&6 both

i edited in fstab file as

defalts,grpquota

quotacheck -cvug

quotachech -avug

quotacheck -avugm

finaly it checks quota

then i given the command as

edquota -g market

their i given file limits

soft=10 hard =15

as i login as user i can able to create more than 15 files also

what is the problem.

Restoration of back ups taken on Dat through tar -cvfr /dev/st0 – RHEL 5.0

Backups are being taken on Dat DDS4 format OS RHEL 5.0. The command is used tar -cvfr /dev/st0 File name. Thus the backups are being taken no of times in one Dat. How to restore the backup of a file which has been taken after first occurence?

Problem to generate back ups in compressed format

We have an IBM Ultrium LT04 included in RHEL5 LPAR (IBM System i520) where we have the following problem: We can not generate back ups in compressed format (1.6 TB), we are only able to generate in the normal format (800 GB). Just in casa our back ups are processed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 5.4. We would like to know what we need to obtain back ups in compressed format

I am using Red Hat Linux 5 (Enterprise Edition).
Everything was working normally but yesterday when
i booted my system it showed me a message like this:
