SSRS authentication in workgroup environment

Can a workgroup be configured to authenticate to reporting services to run reports? If so, could someone please assist me in this security setup as we are currently experiencing difficulty. Our Windows 7 “server” authenticates fine but none of the current client computers are able. Thank you.

Hello, I am running reporting services 2005. I created a subscrition for a report named “paid_claims” that will auto generate an excel file into a shared folder on the network. The “paid_claims” report has a link to another report named “sub_paid_claims” in the same folder. We recently renamed our server from MEDI01a to MEDI01, when the subscription generates the report it generates the link with the old server name when I manually generate the report myself without using the subscription the link generates fine. I cannot seem to find a fix for this. Thank you for your help.

Connection issue from analysis to reporting

I have a report pulling the data from analysis services and reporting in SSRS reports.
when i try to render the report I can view the report in the local server.when I try to access the same link remotely, I am unable to access the data and I am getting the below error.
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset ‘ClientClientName’. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
Either the user, NT AUTHORITY\ANONYMOUS LOGON, does not have access to the JBSReport database, or the database does not exist.
Any suggestions will be helpful.

Identifying data in SQL Reporting Services

I am using SQL Reporting Services, and one of the files has the same ID but a unique position number. The field names are ID, pos, phone number and extension. Now, for example, a person with three phone numbers will have three records (pos 1-3). In this scenario, how would I identify a phone number in, say, pos 2?

I am working on Microsoft Visual Studio Team System for testers, and I have generated reports using SQL Server Reporting Services. However, when I select Dial-Up 56 or Cable/DSL 384 network in the Network mix, the values in all the fields of the reports come up as 0. Is there any reason why this might occur?

Reporting Services – Deploy error

Hi there,

I recently changed my computer name, and from that moment the SQL Server Development Studio couldn’t deploy my project anymore. It successfully builds the project, but can’t deploy it. It returns the following error message:

“A connection could not be made to the report server http://localhost/Reports$NAME
Additional Information: The attemp to connect to the report server failed. Check your connection information and that the report server is a compatible version. (Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer) ”

I then changed the computer name back to the original name in hopes of this being resolved, but to no avail.

When I open Reporting Services Configuration Manager it successfully connects and there is no “not configured” results.

Please Help!!

SQL 2000 Reporting Services – Using embedded code to guide user on input parameters?

I’m working on a report which has these input parameters:

StartDate (textbox, data type is datetime)
EndDate (textbox, data type is datetime)
AccountNumber (dropdown, data type is string)

I need to set up logic where if the user viewing the report has input only date values, they’ll be prompted to select an AccountNumber, or if they select an AccountNumber they’ll be required to select a valid date range.

I’ve successfully created functions for purposes of validating the fields, and put these on the Code tab of the Report Properties, but now I’m not clear on how to make this work from the report itself.

Can I pop up a messagebox that fires if the user hasn’t input the required info and they try to View the report? Or can I just populate a textbox with some error text like “Hey dummy, you forgot the AccountNumber”?

I have seperate application server for ASP.NET(2.0) and Database server for Sql RS 2000, when i try calling reporting service webservice to generate excel and allow to download to the web user, it gives an error as “401 as unauthorised”, can anybody has a solution for this
