If we make it mandatory for our users to have a PIN on their WinMo 6 phones, can we later reset this PIN remotely when they inevitably forget it? We’re running Exchange 2007, and I want the extra security but not the extra headache of users on the road needing a new device because they can’t remember if it’s ’12345′ or ’54321′.

I have a win2k3 sp1 box connected to xpSP3 thru crossover cable. DHCP works, the PC is in the domain. I cant remotely manage the PC from the server, so I tried adding the domain admin to the list of users on the PC. admin can log on no problems, but when i try to add him in control panel>users i get “Trust relationship between this workstation and Primary Domain”

i googled, and nobody seems to know the solution. MS sucks. thanks.

Remote Desktop Connections gone?

We service a number of clients networks using Remote Desktop Connections – generally a very easy access. Today I was unable to log into a server at one site, but as they were having a number of issues, I wrote it off as a specific company problem. Now I am unable to access our largest client network – using any of our remote software. I cannot ping, attempts to run a trace route fail immediately – while I can reach any other customer networks. I am totally baffled, can’t even think of what else I can do to troubleshoot……help?

How can I restrict the number of remote connection session to servers!!!???
Really I wana set when the first connection was done the second one coildn’t connect!!??
and the second one couldn’t take the connection until the first one disconnected!!??
is there a way for this setting!!???
the os of the servers is win server 2003

Hello all, I recently got moved into a network admin position at my company, nearly all of my experience before this has been with web design/PC hardware/and SOHO networks. Now I’m on a network with 9 servers and I could use your help, My boss purchased REV disks because he wants to move away from tapes, and he also purchased Symantec backup exec 11d. The only problem is, the installation guide provides almost no information (for a newb like me) and I can’t find much help in the online help files. My (rather stupid) questions are, can I install Symantec backup exec onto the server from my machine?, or do i need to physically access the server and load it from there? Also, does the server that it will be installed on need to be brought down and restarted? Thanks alot for any help I can get

Procedures for a new area.

We are a company where we have expirience on network remote administration and now we have open a new area, The area of security. Now I need to start to make new procedures like when a new customer come to us and ask if we can handle the security for his network… I need to know if some one can recommend some standard like ISO, COBIT or something like this in order to make new procedures, questionnaires and all those things.
