Adding DASD to an IBM 9406-800 RAID
System has Device Parity Protection and PCI-X RAID disk unit controller. Currently have 4 17.54GB drives installed and need instruction on how to install 2 additional drives. Know how to physically install drives need to know the SST steps for intalling, formating and configuring the new drive array for RAID.

Reconnecting data store to reload of ESX
My ESX server died due to hw failure. My data store resides on a seperate RAID5 set and I need to reconnect the datastore to my new ESX load. How can I do this without destroying the data in my disconnected /vmfs datastore?

Deciding on configurations for SQL Servers
My new server has 3 x 146GB SAS 15k 3.5″ HD, which came pre-configured as RAID 5, and 2x 73GB SAS 15k 3.5″ HD, which came as RAID 1. Should I leave this configuration as is or should I change it?

Boot drive failure, but RAID is okay
