Data center racks: Is it easier to work in lighter colored racks?

Blade server purchasing
As Anne Skamarock warns in her latest book, “A fully populated blade system may require more cooling and power than a fully loaded rack system.” Have you recently investigated investing in a new blade system? Were you surprised by the price comparisons with rack systems? Did this influence your final decision?

I am looking for a cheap stand alone product to place between racks in a LAN room with hot isle cold isle configuration. We would prefer not to place an empty rack with blanking plates as this is cost prohibitive. Seems there should be something like this already on the market. Just need a free [...]
