Time of Testing in a System Implementation

Dear colleagues: Thanks for all your useful information, in this time I would like to ask about the recommended period of time to test a new system (Financial area) to be put in Production mode. I know this completely depends on the kind of system as well as the volume of data which will be managed but talking about a financial system where we have lots of transactions and data I think the recommended time to test would be from 4 to 6 months but I am not quite sure. Considering a system which is in production, it is recommended to use the one which is new parallel in order to catch the errors, isn´t it? I´ll appreciate your answers as well as your comments. Application for quality assurance testing on multiple browsers including IE

I am not a developer – I am a tester (QA) so I hope I ask this question correctly. I need to test applications on multiple versions of IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc….. I was using Spoon but apparently Microsoft made them close down. I found a program called Adobe browserlab, which would have been perfect but it only displays one page at a time (gui) – you cannot navigate through from page to page – so that is out. Mentioning these two programs I am hoping gives you an idea of what I need. Is there another program out there that is similar? Or is there a way of doing what I need? I am running Windows XP OS

If you have any tips to get the most from this module for new users, whether it’s configuration/setup advice, or using “vanilla” functionality to manage a complex quality program, please advise.

One specific question we have is this:

Should you release lots using the “Manage Failed Lot” functionality, or if a lot goes on hold because of a failed test, should you use the Lot Status Update functionality?

Hello-I have to develop a 1-day Core Team training class on the JDE E1 8.12 Quality Mgmt module. I want to be sure to educate users as to the pros and cons of this module’s functionality. Any guidance on what to emphasize would be very helpful. Thank you!
