Recommendation for handling wall phone plates in UTP cable installations
In order to prevent a potential ground loop effect on F/UTP cable installations I usually avoid letting the metal shell of a shielded connector touch a metallic plate. What does Siemens AG recommend for wall phone plate installations when deploying an F/UTP cabled installation?

I want to provide a public hot spot at my restaurant but I need to protect the computers that are on the wired LAN created by the WAP router. I need to protect the wired devices from unauthorized access but still provide authorized access for PC-Anywhere and video surveillance cameras. How can I do this?
