I was wondering if anyone knows what type of programming language would be good for building a scheduling site (primarily a site with calenders which can be updated by an administator as well as other people with membership profiles/data).

I am working on a stored procedure that requires a literal string to be input into a VARCHAR(1024) variable.

My stored procedure has no problem reading the word……….. Let”s

However, if I try to read the word…………Let’s, I get a code violation.

Do I need to read the string as a datatype which does not care about single apostrophes?
And then convert the string into VARCHAR?

Please help as I have been searching for days to find the answer to this “tricky” proposition.

I cannot imaging that some of you out there have not run up against this while writing stored procedures for the iSeries/AS400 !!!!

Writing Programmes

I am currently learning AS400 and trying to write a programme. I want to list users under a subsystem, but there are four different sets of users, and we normally use a set of menu’s to get these list’s, I want to look at the command behind the menu option so that I can add it to my programme. Or if anyone knows of a command that will help me do this. I have tried WRKACTJOB SBS(QINTER) SEQ(*USER) which lists all the users, but I need to refine it a bit more, ie list all users starting K. Can anyone help me please?
