We are replacing our hp procurve 4000m switches for some new technology. What would you recommend for a modern day version of these 4000Ms? They lasted 10+ years.
What is the proper way to connect two HP 4000M pro curve switches together? Is there a specific uplink port? Can we connect the switch to the other using two ports for redundancy? (We tried this and it takes the network down!)
We have a network with Windows Servers, Windows Clients, Mac servers and Mac Clients. We have HP Pro Curve’s 4000M and a ProCurve 6108 as our switches. Should we setup VLANs? Can it be beneficial?
i have 3 ProCurve Switch 4000 on my network. if i attach another switch to my network i can not get it to link up. i have zero security set, and flow controll off, and a cross over cable doesn’t work either.
