Looking for Multifunction Printer that has very good scanning abilities

I'm looking for a multifuntion printer that will do an excellent job of scanning slides. I had considered the Canon MP 960 or 970 but the reviews I saw said that they didn't do a very good job of scanning. Also I would like something around $200. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
