Cisco POE switch port flaps

I have a Cisco PoE switch flapping 3 of my 12 ports providing power to connected 3com hubs. The configuration is the same for all switch ports and is set at defaults. debugging poe events outputs the following which seems to indicate the switch is probing for an IP phone.

Changing Duplex on a POE Cisco 1231 WAP

On a network I am working on I have a Cisco 1231 WAP that is powered via POE. The Duplex is currently set as "Half", while the rest of the WIFI network (3 more 1230 series WAPs) is set as "Full". Is now the time for Power over Ethernet?

Our SearchNetworkingChannel.com expert says that it might be best to hold off recommending Power over Ethernet to networking clients until the 802.3an standard gets widely adopted. What do you think? Is there any benefit to going with Power over Ethernet now?
