I am new to BladeServer. People are talking about 1 Blade server and 3 Blade servers. If I need to do the performance Test on this, would it matter if it is 1 or more Blade servers? Will I be able to run performance test on 1 blade server and then multiply it by 3 to get the performance of 3 Blade server? Please suggest. And also please let me know about the actual benefits of using a Blade server

How can I extract key phrases from a log file using a batch file. I am new to this. I need to know how to extract key phrases from a log file using a batch file. I need to create the batch file first to extract the phrases from the log file. I don’t need to pull the whole log file. Just key words and dump them into a database or excel work sheet or notepad.

i am learner in Perforamance center.

when i am going through some Perf center 9.5 articles “Step by step procedure of Perf Center testing” i got confuse here:

my query is:

Perf Center will have its own Controller, Vugen, Lgenerators or it will depend on Loadrunner components??

if it depends the script should be create in Mercury Vugen (the same Vugen for LR)
am i right?

Can anyone let me know the start to end of how a loadrunner script is being written
and being used for developing effective scripts for web applications built on .net.
I want a detailed explanation of how is virtual generator being enhanced using scripting
and then that being used in controller and analysis, and how a load generator gets set
up and run, any blogs explaining the same also would be usefull, and also you can site
with web application examples, with that would also like to know the must know hows
LOADRUNNER functions to take on performing load testing for the related projects.
Detailed explanations would be appreciated.

I believe this is a very tool-specific question, but then it might be scalable to other tools, too. I have an application that contains different technologies such as a mainframe backend, IBM UDB DB, and a .Net front end.

My question is: How do I identify the protocol to select in LoadRunner, or what are the questions that I need to ask for approaching the performing testing of this type of application.

Hi All,

I have got an application which is integration of 3 sub applications, 1st sub application is developed in ASP.NET, the 2nd in VB 6.0 and 3rd in C#. These 3 sub application is combined and integrated to one and have dependencies on each other.

I need to execute Performance Testing in this application which should cover up the performance testing for all the 3 sub applications and produce a result which displays the overall report of the performance of the entire application.

I need to know the following things….

Performance testing tool which can test all the 3 sub applications in VB, ASP.NET and C# together

Performance testing tool which test the 3 sub application seperately and then integrate the results into one

Performance testing tool which tests VB, testing tool for ASP.NET and testing tool for C# (In this case I will have to find out another way to combine the results into one manually)

Please suggest me which Performance Testing Tool I can use to satisfy either of 3 conditions mentioned above…..Please respond to my queries ASAP as I have a thin deadline to complete this task.

I’m really excited to join the community. Looking forward to share & learn new things.

I’ve a query related to LoadRunner tool from Mercury.
While recording some Web applications, at times some binary code gets generated in the script in the form of /x01/x10 etc…Due to the nature of code, it’s difficult to identify the values / parameters needed to be correlated or parameterized.

Is there a way to work with this kind of binary code and identify the parameter values?

Any query/ suggestion is appreciated.
