Outlook send/receive bar wont quit running

I use Office 2003 and Outlook 2003, i have three separate problems. First the send/receive tool bar at the bottom continually runs, there are no messages in the outbox and the tool bar says that it is complete, yet it just wont go away and most of my emails are not being delivered. Sencond – the password box keeps popping up, i can click on “Log on using secure password authentication (SPA)” and i’ve tried clicking “my outgoing server smpt requires authentication”, a combination of doing this sometimes solves the problem temporarily but not permenatly. third – my emails get stuck in the outbox and there is an error on the send/receive tool bar. i have recreated profile and it didn’t help either. the only thing that helps with all three of these problems is clicking those two buttons i mentioned earlier and then removing them when i start getting errors. Any help besides new software for my whole business

Just a broad security question: How do you assign your users’ first password? Do you require they change it immediately? What is the best method for security purposes?

Is the BBerry password held in a separate memory to that where data is stored? I am trying to work out whether if you take the drive out of a BBerry (without content protection enabled) would you be able to read the stored emails or does it retain pw protection?

It is possible to decrypt an encrypted http password that is stored in the Lotus Notes person document — in order to share the password with a third-party LDAP directory?

The user exists in my Domino Directory and the same user also exists in my LDAP directory.

I am attempting to reduce the number of locations where a password has to be changed, while still forcing http users to reset their passwords after 90 days.

Why does Outlook re-prompt user for login when already on account?

Why does a Microsoft Outlook 2003 client with ‘Logon Network Security’ set to ‘Kerberos/NTLM Password Authentication’ prompt a user for their username and password when opening Outlook? The user is already logged into their workstation with their domain account. But when the client is set to ‘Password Authentication (NTLM),’ it does not re-prompt the user for a username and password.

Check AS400 password in PC environment

I have a VBasic input program on PC which data will eventually be inserted into a physical on AS400. I would like to make the users to login this PC program. 1) Is it possible to verify their IDs and passwords against those on AS400 ? If possible, how am I going to do that ? I know it is impossible to retrieve the ID and password from AS400 but is it possible to send the ID and password to AS400 for checking ?
