help please!!! I amd receiving error message 080042108 in outlook 2003 and my emails are not sending or receiving, please help me and tel me how to fix!!

Outlook 2003 Sent Messages are disappearing
Outlook 2003 has started to malfunction for mysterious reasons.  The “Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder” is checked, but sent items are stored in the Sent Message folder only momentarily before disappearing forever.  I’ve tried reinstalling Outlook but it doesn’t fix the problem.  Any other ideas?
