I am curious as to how others are documenting their network; both visually and configurations. I am familiar with MS Visio for drawing the network. Are there better options? What about documenting all equiptment? IP addresses? Settings? Changes? I am just using MS Excel/word to create all sorts of lists. Is there a better way? [...]

AD – Domain Users can join computers to Domain.

How to run MS & Win updates on USER member accounts?
We primarily use desktops/laptops with WinXP Pro over Novell network. On computers, most have USER permissions/rights. These USER accounts will not allow udpates to run. No AD (yet). unable to install Exachnge as part of windows small business server
