Pls. can anyone help me with this error masage,whenever i try to start OracleDBConsole from the services. iam using oracle 11g database, windows 7 the error masage is “Oracle could not start OracleDBConsole on the local computer for more information review the Service Event Log. if this is a non-microsoft services, contact the service vendor, and refer to service error code 2.”

Oracle Enterprise Edition versus Standard Edition

We are looking at converting our “enterprise database” licenses to “standard edition”. I need to know what to look out for. I have read the Oracle notes on the differences but you know how that goes.

We are doing this as a cost cutting measure. Has anyone done this ? What should I be aware of etc…

Do you have any scripts that would help us to identify we we are actually are using the “enterprise” features etc ?
