Hi all.. i am having a problem. i want to increase the printable area of the report without modifying the page size. if i modify the printable area automatically page size is getting modified in oracle reports. Is there any way we can modify only the printable area?????

Converting Oracle Report 6i into Excel

the problem is in report the data is correct but when i try to convert into excell the dupicate rows are beuing formesd..i also did a page protect variation but report changes but not the converted file. if i have 50 records on page 1 then in report it shws 50 rows only but in xcel it shows 55 rows 5 of the next page…and when i go to 2nd page and convert it into excel then it repeats those 5 rows twice that means extra rows are being displayed i am in fix please help me as soon as possible

Hi All,

I am working in Oracle 6i reports, I want to hide some report columns value at runtime. For example if dataentry operatior run a invoice report the value columns are print like ‘**********’ otherwise it will print original value. The users are controlled in a seprate table. Using that table I want to do this. This tabel contain username,report_id and column name(which column i want to hide at runtime).

I don’t want to write any code in column format trigers. It should be common for all columns. Plz post your comments.. Plzzz

Hi, i have one query plz help me on the same….
I am creating the report in oracle report builder 6i, i made every thing but i stuck on one problem. it is i used group by command in sql query. i got the total of one column. but in that column there are no. of same customer name in a month which i want only one name or customer and total for this month of invoice amount. and total invoices in this month just figure suppose 2 or 5, 100 anything related with this customer.

Plz send me the proper solution on it as earliest.
