step to install oracle 8i with client/server
i have installed oracle 8i in win xp prof. can i make it as oracler server or should i use win 2k. whar are changes in sqlnet.ora and tnsnames file. should i install d2k on client only. kindly reply me all steps for this instaqllation. thanks a lot in advance

Is their any conflict between Oracle 8i and Windows 2003 Server
Whenever i insert oracle 8i cd, autorun starts and ends without any error or warning and i am unable to install oracle 8i on windows 2003 server. Same cd works on windows xp professional but not on server. Can anybody help me with this problem?
