We have build an application for the Dutch soccer association running in a private cloud. We want to extend this to other sports and countries using a SaaS model.
Oracle has launched a SaaS license for ISV’s.
We are currently use Oracle SE. Which Oracle license do we need for the (external users) SaaS environment.
Oracle is unclear regarding this issue.

Replicating Oracle 10g database in Oracle 9i

I have an oracle 10g database and would like to create a replica of it in oracle 9i. Could you please explaim if this is possible.

I’m sure there would be backward compatibility issues to contend with.

I have looked in the Oracle Technet site for a version of Oracle suitable for OS X. I downloaded Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 because it said that it was compatible with Mac OS X. However, when I attempted to install the application, nothing happened. Upon closer look, the documentation seem to point to Max OS X server. Is there a version I can install on a MacBook running OS Snow Leopard.

I have an Oracle 10.2.0.2 dmp file from another site. I need to import the data into a 9.2.0.6 database on hp-ux 11.11. I cannot modify the xport file nor do I have a 10.2 database to import into, but I do have the 10.2 software. Is there any way to import the 10.2 dmp file into a 9.2 database? please help.

Hi,
Please help. I want to shift my datafiles from c: to S:. I have made a physical copy of dbf files from c: to s:. In Oracle 10g I made those files & tablespaces offline and renamed with new physical location. when bringing online I was getting error as “need media recovery”. Please Guide me.

Good Day!

Would be appreciate if there is solution for the following problem:

- In VB.Net of Visual Studio.Net 2003, developer can click and drag a table listed in the Server Explorer from a connected database to the form. This will add OleDbConnection control and OleDbDataAdapter control to the form . Developer can also Click Data -> Generate Dataset to generate dataset.

- Would like to know can all the processes mentioned above be done in Microsoft Free Download of Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition?
