What is the best way to upgrade our Windows XP and Windows Vista desktop and laptop clients. Most of the existing hardware can be used. Is there an automated process that can be used to upgrade them in the off hours?

But the key of the OS CD- Windows XP Professional installed – is presently not available. So, please tell us about the probability of using some other same OS CD available now.

I just did a trial for Window 7, but the trial ended, is there anyway for me to change my operating system back to my previous one?

How can I join my Windows 7 machine to my company domain? I want to access active directory resources on it like printers and such. What do I have to do and what information do I need other than my username and password?

I have somehow obtained possession of one of those touch screen photolab computers (minus all the printing stuff) and I’m wanting to do something cool with it. I was thinking about installing Windows 7 on it, but then I thought about using the iPhone OS? Surely, all of the hardware would be powerful enough to run it? Is this possible? How would I go about doing it?

Additional benefits of having a 64-bit OS over a 32-bit?

Why would I want a 64-bit operating system over a 32-bit one? I have heard I can load more memory (over 4GB) on a 64-bit machine but what are the other benefits of using a 64-bit OS? I know there are issues with a lot of drivers. Do the benefits outweigh the issues? Do most applications work on a 64-bit machine with a 32-bit program?

Non Dynamic DNS Entry

We have 4 locations in different cities. They are all connected with a Frame Relay T1. Each has it’s own internet connection independant of the Frame. We use a WEB app that is housed on a server in a co-location which is connected to the main office by a direct T1. Each office has a windows 2000 server running DHCP for different subnets and DNS. The primary DNS is on the main DC in the home office and the others replicate from it. Here is the situation. We want the outlying offices to connect to the web app through their independant internet access, instead of coming into the main office through the frame and then to the CO-lo through our dedicated T1. But, we still want the main office to connect through the dedicated T1. What I need to know is how can I set up a DNS entry on the remote servers to this which will direct them over the net while not replicating so that the main office will still use the dedicated T1? Any Ideas?

Exchange2000 IM Problem

We have been running Exchange2000 IM for the past few months and it has been working as well as expected with any problems. then all of sudden we started gettting login errors:
Exchange Instant Messaging Sign-In Faliure
The email address does not match the username and password of the person logged into this computer. Make sure you provide the correct username, password and domain for the email address.

Nothing in our network has changed!? We do not see any errors in the event viewer on the IM or Exchange Servers. Does anyone have this same type of experience? Any and all help would be welcome and appreciated.

Changing the statement heap parameter on iSeries

Hi,

I would like to know how to change the statement heap parameter DB2 (stmtheap) on the AS/400.

I tried the command GET DATABASE CONFIGURATION FOR database-alias (giving alias name as the AS/400 server name) but it returns the error “SQL0901N The SQL statement failed because of a non-severe system error.
Subsequent SQL statements can be processed. (Reason “Attach to V1 server is
invalid”.) SQLSTATE=58004″.

I have also tried the command ATTACH but it gives the same error.

Please guide me and let me know if there is a statement heap parameter on the AS/400 and if yes how to retrieve its value and change it.

Stop Error (C000021a)

I am receiving this stop error(C000021a) “windows logon process system process terminated unexpectedly” with win 2000 server. Safe mode and Last Known Good Conf. works fine.
Is there any solution without reformating the HDD? I have ERD with me. Will that help me?

Any advise on this would be highly appreciated. Thanks
