				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Due to downsizing we are getting system halts when we no longer have coverage in our operations dept. We are supporting 2 local i-Series and 3 remote i-Series. What is the best way to notify someone if a job halts after hours? Sometimes this has prevented our nightly jobs from finishing as well as system backups. Sending an alert notification by either e-mail or phone would be ideal.</p>

<p>I&#8217;ve found <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=6257ad22-8d67-4cf0-b2d2-08e0cfe6c8ce&#038;displaylang=en">this</a>, Microsoft Alerts development kit, but isn&#8217;t there a complete solution rather then developing one.</p>
