NLB Cluster for Exchange 07 HT and CA roles installed on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise R2

hi,I have installed HT and CA roles on 2 different Virtual Machines.

my NLB cluster IP address 172.17.1.198 – email.test.com,

Exch01- HT and CA – Public/NIC1 – 172. 17.0.35,

Exch04- HT and CA – Public/NIC1 – 172.17.1.199 ,

My above IP address are in same range.

I’m able to access https://exch01/owa,https://exch01/owa and “https://exch04/owa,https://exch04/owa from my other PCs but not using https://email.test.com/owa“

My question is while configuring NLB cluster with 2 network cards Public(NIC1) and NLB(NIC2) resp. What IP addressing scheme we have to use for NLB cluster NIC2. Is it same as NIC1? If we will use another subnet how it will communicate with cluster IP address which is in the diffrent subnet. Please clarify with example?

What is NLB and it should be configured? Please tell me from the basic. It will be helpful for me.

SSL certificate for 2nd Exchange OWA

Hi all,

Our external users access their email via https://owa.domain.com/exchange
I am adding a second owa server to our domain for redundancy. The nlb cluster established on the 2 owa servers works fine. In front of the OWA servers is an ISA server that connects to the internet. The ISA connects to OWA using SSL bridging. The first OWA server has a certificate installed for https access to email.

My questions are:
1) On the new OWA server do I need to create and submit a new certification request to the CA ? Or can I just export the cert + private key from the first OWA server to the new one ?

2) On the ISA server, do I need to export the cert+private key from the new OWA server and import into ISA?

Exchange Server 2007 CCR moving users

2 Exchange 2007 servers
Just purchased 4 new servers and setup the CCR cluster. 2 servers are running roles in a NLB cluster setting and 2 are in the mailbox role. Using ISA Server. What is the best way to move the mailboxes to the new servers?
